It is a pleasure to welcome you to Bolton Hotel, Wellington’s only five star, independent hotel.  We hope you have a wonderful experience with us.  It is imperative that you read and accept the following terms and conditions as they apply to the use of our website and any reservation you may have with us at Bolton Hotel. 
Any content found on this website remains the property of Bolton Hotel and may be modified, added to or removed at any time without liability or responsibility to inform users. Terms and conditions apply at the time the reservation is made. 
Cancellation policy

Reservations booked via this website or direct with Bolton Hotel are cancellable, without penalty up until 6 PM on the day of arrival, with the following exceptions:

 

• Reservations that include high-demand dates such as high-profile concerts and sports events, deemed Event Dates. Current event dates are listed below.
These reservations require 100% pre-payment for the entire stay. The entire reservation, including any non-event dates, is also non-refundable. Guests are notified of this at the time of booking.

• Reservations made utilising our ‘Early Bird’ or 'Long Weekend Special' offers. These reservations require 100% pre-payment for the entire stay and while non-refundable, should you need to cancel, the hotel will hold the payment in credit to use against future bookings for up to 18 months.

 
Cancellations made after 6 PM on the day of arrival are subject to one night’s accommodation or package charge for each room booked. If a guest fails to arrive at the hotel for a reservation without prior notice of a cancellation, the guest will be subject to one night’s accommodation charge and any remaining nights of the reservation concerned will be cancelled.  This charge will be applied to the credit card provided at the time of booking. 
 
Bolton Hotel does not guarantee that any or all deposits or payments paid to a third party reservation provider will be refunded and is not liable for any shortfall. Please contact the third party provider to arrange cancellation, modifications or refunds.

Romance & Rosé Package
  • This package is based on two adults sharing a Premier Suite.
  • No additional guests can be accommodated in the room and the package is for adults only.
  • Package includes accommodation, a bottle of Allan Scott Cecilia Rosé Methode Traditionnelle NV, in-room breakfast for two and a late checkout of midday.
  • Bolton Hotel reserves the right to replace the bottle of Allan Scott Cecilia Rosé Methode Traditionnelle NV with a suitable alternative. 
  • Bolton Hotel reserves the right to retrieve this offer at any time. 
  • Cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer.

  Dinner, Bed & Breakfast

  • Package includes accommodation, dinner for two in Artisan Restaurant (entrée and mains from our package menu or main roast dinner and dessert if dining on a Sunday between 01/06/24 and 23/09/24), buffet breakfast for two the following morning in Artisan Restaurant and a late check out of midday.
  • Menu is subject to change.
  • Certain dinner items may incur a supplementary charge. 
  • Buffet breakfast includes filter coffee and tea. Barista coffees are available at an additional charge.
  • This offer can't be combined with any other promotion or offer.
  • Bolton Hotel reserves the right to retrieve this offer at any time.
Guarantee Policy

All reservations require a valid credit card at the time of booking to guarantee the reservation.  The guarantee ensures that your reservation will be held from 3PM on the day of arrival until 11AM on the day of departure. Your reservation is only guaranteed upon the time that a confirmation email or reservation number is received. If you do not receive either of these, please contact the hotel directly. 
The credit card provided upon booking will not be charged for your stay prior to arrival, but will be pre-authorised for NZD$1.00 to ensure the validity of the credit card and will be used in the case of applicable cancellation fees or non-arrival instances.  
When a non-refundable booking is made, the credit card provided at the time of reservation will be charged with the outstanding amount for the reservation. 
If the card holder is not present upon departure, a Credit Card Authorisation form is required for the charges of the reservation.  Please contact the hotel for further information. 
Reservation Policy

Upon use of this website, provision of a credit card and check in at the hotel, you warrant that you are a at least 18 years of age and are liable and financially responsible for any charges that may occur for this reservation. 
 
Unless indicated otherwise, all accommodation and ancillary charges accumulated during your stay will be settled upon departure. Please note, a surcharge of 2% is applicable to all guests paying with a credit card or international debit card.  Eftpos and cash payments do not incur a surcharge. 
All prices are quoted in New Zealand dollars and include GST. 
Check-in Policy

At Bolton Hotel we do our best to ensure that our guests have a flexible stay.  Guests may attempt to check in earlier than the guaranteed check in time of 3PM, but Bolton Hotel is not able to guarantee this will be possible.  Guests are welcome to leave their bags at Reception for storage and can be notified when their room is ready for check in. 
 
All guests will be required to provide a credit card upon check in.  This will be noted on the guests reservation as guarantee against any charges accrued while the guest resides at Bolton Hotel. 
 
If you do not have a credit card to provide for your reservation, full advance payment of accommodation or package will be required, plus a bond of NZD$100.00 per night of your reservation.   The bond will be refunded after all charges are confirmed on departure.
All guests must fit into existing bedding.  In the event that this is not possible, a rollaway may be added for guests under 16 years of age for an additional NZD$40.00 per night or a cot may be added for an additional NZD$10.00 per night (subject to availability and room type restrictions). 
 
No pets are allowed on the property, with the exception of service dogs. 
 
Bolton Hotel is a 100% non-smoking property.  If evidence of smoking is detected in any guest room or public area of the property the guest will be charged an extra cleaning charge of NZD$500.00.
Check-Out Policy

Guests are required to check out at 11AM on the day of departure, unless prior arrangements for a late check out are made with a Bolton Hotel Reservations or Front Desk team member. Extra charges may apply for extension of departure time. 

Valet Parking

Valet parking is subject to availability. Size of vehicle must be stipulated in advance as parking space is limited. Please contact the hotel directly on (04) 472 9966 to pre-book parking.

Error Policy

Any reservation made on Bolton Hotel’s website is made at your own risk. All information entered at the time of reservation will be deemed correct and final. Bolton Hotel must be contacted if there is an error, but will not be held responsible for any financial liability for the reservation or information confirmed. 
 
Bolton Hotel reserves the right to amend or cancel any reservation that has been processed due to website or software error.  The guest will be notified as soon as possible in the event of such an error.

All information found on this website is deemed accurate and current at the time of posting.  Although Bolton Hotel endeavors to keep this information up to date, information is subject to change without notice.

FILMING AND PHOTOSHOOT POLICY

At Bolton Hotel, we encourage guests to capture their experiences in photo or video form for their own personal and/or social media use.

 

However, our priority will always be the experience, safety and privacy of our guests.

 

We have a policy against the use of any of our facilities for unauthorised professional and/or commercial photography or videography. Kindly note that professional or commercial photographers or videographers undertaking an unauthorised shoot and who are not hotel guests will be asked to leave the hotel premises immediately.

 

Commercial photo shoots or filming should be approved in advance.

Commercial shoots are subject to location fees and require organisation so that we minimise any disruption to our guests. For photo/video shoot requests, please contact us at [email protected] with the subject line "Commercial photoshoot request".

 

Allowed

Guests may shoot non-commercial photography or video for their own personal use in their guest room or suite or public areas of the hotel but must always respect the privacy and well-being of other guests in the hotel.

- Commercial photography or videography will only be permitted if the hotel management has given their express permission before the shoot taking place. All photography or videography requests will be reviewed and approved based on occupancy, availability and suitability of content.
